Christmas Haul (Vegan & Cruelty Free)

Christmas Haul (Vegan & Cruelty Free)

So that’s Christmas over for another year. It can be a bit baffling for friends and family to buy for a vegan but mine have really worked hard to bring me some goodies this year. Some of the below presents were highlighted on my wishlist, others were beautifully thoughtful and well researched. Read on to find what I found under the tree this year.

Books and Booze

  • The Happy Pear cook book, check out these Irish twins and their vegan recipes on their YouTube here.
  • Chocolate & Coconut Cream Liqueur –  this dairy-free, alcohol fueled treat from Marks & Spencers is an amazing vegan alternative to Bailey’s

Beauty Treats

  • Shimmer Body Oil from the Rosie Huntington range at M&S, which smells and looks great
  • Pacifica goodies: Coral polish and Island Vanilla perfume. Pacifica is a wonderful US vegan brand, you can find some of their range at the UK online store Naturally Better You
  • Lush treats: Happy Hippy shower gel full of refreshing grapefruit and Soak and Float shampoo bar which is great for irritated scalps that need a bit of TLC
  • Autograph Quad Eye Shadow –  any vegan that’s been on the hunt for an eye shadow quad knows that these are few and far between, so I’m super happy to have this to take away on trips or over-night stays
  • Axiology Lipstick (shade fundamental) – These are so luxurious, I put a shade on my wishlist every year and this one is a gorgeous pink everyday shade

So, you can tell I’m a chocolate lover:

  • A couple bars of the super popular Vego Chocolate which can be found in Holland & Barrett stores across the country
  • Montezuma’s Moondance – dark chocolate almond praline truffles. Check out their vegan truffle range here
  • Pana Chocolate raw cacao
  • Lazy Day free-from tiffin and rocky road bites – these can be found in most UK supermarkets

Lush Gift Set 1

  • Ro’s Argan – body conditioner that smells like roses
  • Rose Jam – dizzying floral fragrance, like a luxurious rose turkish delight
  • Sleepy – body lotion that is full of peaceful lavender
  • Respect Your Elders – moisturising soap made from elderberries

Lush Gift Set 2

  • Christmas Sweater bath bomb which is wonderfully spicy and warming
  • The Snowman bubble bar which crumbles into bubbles in the tub
  • Saucy Snowflake Soap with clove infusion, rose absolute and cashews

  • Missoma – Tiny Horn Necklace – a beautiful delicate 18ct gold vermeil horn pendant

Vegan Toffee

  • This vegan alternative to a box of celebrations comes from Jeavon’s and contains five different flavours: Smootch (soft creamy toffee), Original (original chewy toffee), Nuttee (roasted peanuts and soft toffee), Almond Blast (roasted almonds and buttery toffee) and After Dinner Smootch (peppermint infused soft toffee) – all but the original are encased in a chocolate cup

Hibernation Box

I love this Hibernation Box from Natural Beauty Box which contains:

  • Woodland Wonder candle
  • Pine Tea & Cedarwood nurturing soap
  • Unrefined Rosehip Oil
  • Handmade bath truffles (3: rose, lavender and orange)
  • Eco Beauty Book

Hosted by @SarahKirbyBlog some of us in the vegan community signed up to take part in a Cruelty Free, Vegan Secret Santa. I got this gorgeous gift from @life_cruelty_free

  • Jade Green Tote Bag which is perfect for the weekly shop (I love a tote like cray)
  • Witchwood Remedies apple and mint soy candle
  • MunkyMake stickers and badges, hadn’t heard of this brand before and now they’re my new favourite thing

Birthday Gift

My birthday is precisely a week before Christmas so, I’m slyly adding this in:

  • Vegan Queen tote by Bright Zine
  • Feed Me Vegan cookbook by Lucy Watson of the Made in Chelsea fame
  • Dead Sea Clay Mask from Superdrug which cleared up my complexion
  • Barry M Peel-Off White Paint which I haven’t yet tried, but very curious to try this peel-off range
  • Montezuma’s Lordy Lord chocolate bar, check out their dairy-free bars here
  • Whittard’s Rose Tea (so nice, no sugar or milk needed)
  • Cat Lady notebook from Typo
