Review: Sukin Facial Moisturiser + Discount Code

I’ve introduced this Sukin Facial Moisturiser (available here) into my skincare routine as both a morning and evening moisturiser over the past week and it’s been wonderful. My skin can get very dry easily when the weather is erratic (which it has been lately, British summer and all) so it’s important for me to have a good quality moisturiser.

Firstly, I love the pump. It’s perfect for even dispensing and very hygienic. Unlike a tub, you aren’t sticking your fingers each time and contaminating the product. A half pump provides me with enough moisturiser to cover my face and neck.

The moisturiser smells delightfully fresh, absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling greasy. I have no need for a primer on top of this, just apply my foundation after letting it absorb for a minute. I was quite nervous to change moisturiser, as a bad one can leave me with breakouts and dry skin. This has left my skin hydrated and my pores clog-free.

The key ingredients are:

Aloe Vera – Rich in vitamins C, E and beta carotene which gives it its nourishing and anti-aging qualities

Horsetail –Improves circulation and in turn boosts and rejuvenates skin

Rose Hip – Full of vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids known to correct dark spots, hydrate dry skin and reducing scars

Sesame Seed Oil – Anti-inflammatory; using this at night will allow the moisturiser to fight skin infections as you sleep

The bottle proudly claims to be 100% vegan, 100% carbon neutral, no animal testing, no SLS, no SLES, no harsh detergents and a whole host of other claims to impress the ethically, environmentally and chemically conscious. Sukin is an Australian company that’s passionate about providing “skincare that doesn’t cost the earth”. All their products are made with ingredients that are naturally derived, cruelty free and vegan.

This bottle came from Naturally Better You, an online retailer that hand selects only the finest natural and organic health, beauty and wellbeing products from ethical companies. Their site is full of lesser-known brands and a great place to browse to find your new favourite vegan products, using their vegan filter. They stock Sukin, Pacifica, Beauty Without Cruelty, Faith in Nature, Naturtint and many more vegan-friendly brands. They gave me this moisturiser in return for my honest review.

You can grab 10% off anything on their site, including this moisturiser using the code NICOLE10 – let me know what you grab and how you get on in the comments below.
